Karen,
Thanks for the "heads up". We are using a hasp,with a spring ring through it so the goats can't even think about lifting the top.
But we were not planning on removing the rubber seal because we got it to outwit the rats (our cats refuse to patrol that barn anymore because the goats abuse them).
At least we won't have to worry about the sweating problem in the winter--but, if the freezer has been aired out and in use with grain bags,did it still sweat on you in the summer? The last thing we want to do is accumulate moisture!(I was even going to put a box of baking soda-not the one for the goats' to absorb any odors that might develop).
I'd sooner trash the thing when the weather gets warm again--it was free anyway!
