No, I will not really take them in the house..that was just a joke, my husband thought he was being funny..I freak when someone walks in my house w/their shoes on..LOL..My dog even knows how to wipe her feet on the mat when it is muddy out..(dont ask..LOL) I know of some people that do put them in their house though, I also know people that will bring calves in their house in the very cold of winter, and I can see your point with the drastic change in temp.
We feed goat chow that has cracked corn in it. Do you think that would be enough, or should I go out and get a few bags of just plane cracked corn. I normally do not keep much of it around, We used to feed our chickens plain cracked corn until I saw them attacking eachother and pecking at eachother. Someone had told us that feeding the birds just the cracked corn gives them some sort of difficiency (forgot what it was right now) that resulted in them nipping at eachother, so we started with laying mash for the older birds and chick starter w/the chicks. Just recently though within the past few months, we had started a differnt approach with the birds, which is making them more free range, which I have heard makes for excellent eggs, and to be honest, our birds never have looked better..but that is chickens..LOL.why did I get off track..sorry..
Yes Gary I do believe that you have helped me a lot and made me feel a little bit better too!! Thank you! Let me know about the cracked corn though..I am going to the feed store tomorrow..and get the cracked corn if you think that the corn in the goat chow is not enough.
