Hi Tanya,

As Helene mentioned, it might be a sudden change in feed. Did she raid any grain bins that you knof of? That will often bring about a sudden change like you are mentioning. Might not hurt to give a few cc's of Pepto Bismol followed by some ProBios paste.

You also mentioned worming and the CD/T shot. Was this done recently or did you mean that she had the CD/T shot at 30 days of age and had been wormed. I know that "sometimes", and depending on the wormer (Cydectin is one of them), goats will experience sudden changes like this. With CD/T and Cydectin being given close together, things such as abortion are possible.

But the fact that you mentioned the "clumped" movement followed by diarrhea really does sound like a sudden dietary change to me. I'd keep an eye on her for the rest of the day and see how it progresses. Sometimes the "dietary changes" will affect the goat for up to 3 or 4 days before the stool returns to normal. But the Pepto Bismol will at least help a little bit.

Best regards,

Gary
