Thank you for your input. I will forward your post to her. Basically what I told her is that she should get the vet wo give her a prescription for the Bo-Se (because I think this takes vet prescription in all 50 states doesn't it?) and order it either from a catalog or online. I also told her that she might want to get some Nutri-Drench, Goat Drench being ideal but if that was not available, use either the Cattle Drench (beef or dairy) until she could get the Bo-Se or an equivalent. I know the Nutri-Drench has a good amount of selenium in it plus other things that might get them over the hump. I've used this during quite a few kiddings and it seems to do the trick - 15 cc's every 4 hours VERY SLOWLY! I have not heard back from her yet but will let you know what she says.
