Hi Leah,
I had read something about this once and went back to see if I could find it and sure enough. According to some research being done at Cornell University, goat owners can have their goats vaccinated for rabies with a vaccine labeled for use in other species.
Cornell had began a project specifically aimed at getting "goats" on the label of this vaccination because of public concern of goats and petting zoos. The trial proved that the vaccine provided significant protection compared to unvaccinated goats but this was not enough to meet the stringent government rabies vaccine standards.
