The virus is the bad trans 2 and is spreading across everywhere. I belong to a bunch of rootsweb lists, and while the virus cannot come straight from the message boards or lists, it is coming from users who are opening these infected emails. My zone alarm has picked up about 25 of these suckers within the past few days. For some reason I can't seem to update my AV software, I guess the site is buisy with everyone updating, so thank goodness for my zone alarm (smile)
Just be careful..This virus if you use Outlook Express tries to run a program either into your MS DOS or as a screen saver. It tries to download, even if you do not click on the paperclip. Just make sure you do not open anything. As a rule I never open any attachments, unless it is a photo and I can see it in the message body of my email, or if I know something is coming in advance. This virus does not necessarly hit everyone in your address book if you opened it, but also anyone you have emails from sitting in your inbox. So it looks as though it is from someone responding to a question or an email. Very tricky.
