Well, now I don't feel so bad!. We have 7-8 inches of snow with temp hanging around -20C but not much in the way of wind, thank god but if it does come up and with all this loose snow, I'm sure it will be drifting snow all over the place. Thanks for the ideas on water/ice (one sure turns to the other in a hurry around here these days). I will have to keep packing water as the goat barn is way to far from electricity to do the heater thing. Maybe I can get a heater pail for just inside the fence - will have to beg Santa I guess.
Hope everyone makes out ok with the first blast of winter.
