Hi folks,
I am a bit baffled by something here involving the post office. It seems that some of my mail is not arriving at its destination for one reason or another. A few times it has been my error - wrong address by a digit or two (hi Lila and Lyman). And when this has happened, I often get the package or letter back a month or so later. Our local Postmaster explained that some of the rural post offices will throw the mismarked parcels into a dead letter file and it can take awhile to re-route them back to the sender; especially in light of the Septemeber 11th attack. But now I'm finding that even a few of my letters are not arriving to the destination neither I nor the recipient (or the post office) has any idea where they are.
It has become quite embarrasing to say the least and I'm not sure if it is just my local post office or what. Anytime I take stuff to the Highlandville or Nixa, MO post office this seems to happen. If I go directly to the Springfield, MO post office - success.
Are any of you having this same trouble or delayed delivery times?
Best regards,
Gary Pfalzbot
