All of our goats are boer crosses, except for 2 full blood boer bucks and one full blood lamancha doe. All of our crosses are healthy, hardy and have very good dispositions. We have one cross doe who is actually smaller than the rest. She was one of twins and her twin died at 2 months. The other 2 (single births) are quite larger, as a matter of fact one of the billys (who is the youngest of the 3 kids and is just at 4 months is almost as big as our full blood boer bucks.
As far as the dispositon goes I think that has a lot to do with how you treat them and how you raise them. If you bottle feed them and/or they have a lot of human contact. Mine are used to my 3 yr old chasing them, grabbing them by the leg etc and they love to play with him. If I had to choose I would say that that my Lamancha is the most loving of them all though. (she still loves me even after I slammed the car door on her head..ouucchhh).
We live in Tennesse and there is a big market for both the crosses and full blood. We have bought goats full grown and we have bought them either still being bottle fed or just weaned. Needless to say the full growns we bought were not used to human contact and we no longer have them, except for one whither who is out at another field.
