You're welcome. We've had a couple of kids that did not seem to grow as they should. I thought of all the possibilities and had to attribute it to the gene pool. In particular, we have a little Boer/Nubian doe that has stayed almost the size of a pygmy goat for nearly a year. Her horns came out about an inch and stopped growing altogether. Looking at the buck and the nanny, they are very large goats. You would never take this kid to be their offspring. I should mention that this little doe was born a twin - her brother grew pretty fast and after a year, he's almost waist high to me. His sister looks like it could be his daughter. Perhaps there was difficulty in the gestation, I don't know. But quite a few people told me that in dairy goats, this is often attributed to the G6S gene - there is an article in the Articles section about it. Might be worth a browse.
