Well to be honest, I'm not sure if Biosol will prevent cocci. I really don't think so as it is not listed as a "specific" condition that it treats. I think that it only is effective on coliform bacteria. We use alot of neosporin (which is a derivative of the Biosol) on our birds for things like bumblefoot, punctures, prolapses, etc. These are things that would involve fecal matter infecting the wound. But for cocci, the meds are of an entirely different class (amprolium for the Corid).

Hopefully once I get things here on GoatWorld in better order and all, I am going to start doing alot more research on things as I should be doing. Google is a good place to start along with AltaVista. Snap.com used to be good until they went to NBCI.com. That drug information I originally found is integrated into GoatWorld from the front page of the site. You'll see it listed as "Drug Database". That might save some of us searching extra long for information.
