I did everything I could but my little goat just got limp like a rag doll, I kept he propped up and under a heat lamp all night, I got naxcel and bo-se but I think it was just too late to help him, he had so much fluid coming from his mouth and diarrea. I hated to see him die it was our first boar babies to be born, I guess if could say anything good came out of all of this, know Thanks to all of you I know more about what supplies and medications and procedures to do now. The little doe seems to be doing fine, I better not start bragging yet though with my luck. Tonight when my daughter and I went to the barn to feed the little doe was no where to be seen the mother was just frantic pacing around and bawling, we looked and looked in the barn and finally found her she had squeezed through the gate and was asleep in a bucket, we were close to tears until we found her. Thanks again for all of your help, I haven't gave the bo-se to the mother and little doe yet, I left a post about needing the dosage for bo-se before I went out to the barn, I wanted to check with all of you guys on that before I gave any(it is the injectable kind) I know I should give some to my other goats also, most of that have just been bred so should I wait until about a month before they kid to dose them. I think I will go ahead and give some to my bucks.I have a toggenburg doe and 2 saanen does and 4 pygmy does.
Thanks again Cindy
