Goat Mom sent my son that book..Natural Goat Care...I have it in front of me as a matter of fact, I just started reading it. Gary has it at the Goat World Store, and it is wonderful!
Have you checked her temp? As far as the antibiotics go, what are you giving her first of all, and second of all..from the way I am reading your first message, you said you did not follow up with it..If that is true, I am thinking that it would be like not following up on an antibiotic on a human, and what would happen if that is the case, if you re administered it again, it won't work..I am not 100% sure about this in goats, I am hoping someone else will read your post and answer soon!! is the discharge from her nose green or yellowish in color?
I am looking under Pneumonia in the book, and it says about feeding, and I am quoting:
As soon as the goat will eat, offer fresh branches and green feed. Bran and Alfalfa chaff is usally the first feed that an ill animal will consider. No grain should be given. Allow the animal out on the best grazing possible w/ample sunlight and shade and rug if the weather is cold.
Look down towards the bottom of the post board, there are some messages about runny noses, not eating and antibiotics, hopefully it will answer some of your questions. I am sorry I cannot be of more help..
