Hi Helene,Pg 100 and 101 in your book. It talks A little about pellets. and go to my posts about my experience with pellets. Now to- your sweet feed or goat chow, any thing with molasses will get kind of lumpy ,It will break up if you work it with your hands. There should not be [ see or smell] any mold. Take it back and make them replace it.If it is purina or any other big co. call them. Tell them about the freqency of bad feed. Heres what I know about feed mixing mills--The feed is mixed in hugh silo type vats that are Controlled by heat, fans ,gauges, men, watching every thing.Every now and then some one will not watch the process and a batch will go bad ,right in the bag. This is human error,or machinery break down . But, what ever it is,they want to know . If they dont care ,you better change companys. In the book natural goat care.there is A formula Thats tried and true. And quite simple.....I'm surely going to it....... goat mom
