When I went to the feed store yesterday I picked up 2 blocks of the pine shavings you are talking about. They were about $10.00 per block..put it down and some straw over it and the goats were like awww..this is great and got all comfy! Don't know why it never dawned on me to use shavings..it is the same stuff we use as bedding for my sons gunea pig collection (don't get me started..LOL).
I had my car yesterday, Mike had the truck..so I could only fit 2 blocks of the shavings, because I needed to get some goat chow and cracked corn too and it all "just" fit in the trunk..but I will go back and get a couple of more blocks so I can add to it., plus I only did the main goat house, did not do the smaller one yet. They don't normally go in the smaller one unless they get angry and want to be by themselves..LOL..
Thanx for that...I feel alot better now, goats that seemed as though they were getting sick are medicated, and now they have a nice warm comfy place to sleep..
