That is a good idea with the freezer thing. We have a bunch of those rubbermaid trash cans and what a pain they are.

We wrap woven wire around round bails of hay to make sort of a hay feeder for them. but lay around whatever square bails we have left for them to eat now..Especially since I found out it is not a good idea to lay hay out for bedding for them.

For right now we have those plastic barrels cut at the bottom for waterers but we are working on getting some kind of heater made so they will have heated water, and not have to worry about freezing.
