We have run boers(beautiful and heavy but not as tough in range conditions) , spanish(pretty good), nubian crosses(which I like), and KIKO. Of all of them the KIKO gains as fast if not faster than the boer, gets as big, has a lighter frame/carcass yield AND to top it off has fewer health and parasite problems. We now cross all our stock with a FB registered KIKO buck, we had people call and attempt to give, thats right give, us a FB reg. boer buck and we politely declined.
