GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... OH MY.... Nubian milk better than Alpine?????? NOOOOOOOO just kidding, i raise Alpines and love my ole' girls and bad boys a lot. To be honest for what you are trying to do and the goals you mentioned you would probably fare better with the Nubians. NOT becuase their milk tastes better, but because of BF. besides... think ablout those airplane ear LOL:):)
I would also suggest before you venture into purchasing her to study your bloodlines, visit those goats that are of the sam ein your area or online websites. I say this because we just recently became a Grade A Dairy, and you have to make sound decsions, you cannot have any room for error. if I were to have done this several yrs ago as a newbie I bet I would have been under by now. I don't think a sway back is something that will enhance your lines. Buy only the BEST you can afford.
You need to actually study up on what it is you hope to accomplish and then have a "Plan B" just in case. Don't mean to sound so "down" on this but if you are serious then these are some of the things you need to consider.
