Feeding Corn and Other Garden Refuse
As per the "stalks", I know personally that my goats devoured every stalk in the garden a couple of years ago - these were green stalks that had not been pulled up. They were less likely to eat stalks that had been pulled up and were wilting. They did eat some of them, but not all. Kind of akin to leaves - they prefer green leaves but when the green leaves are gone, they do eat some of the dry leaves.
I am trying to gather more information on this particular subject but from what I remember being written, the husk and bits of the cob are safe, but, your goats may be picky and not eat all of them. Some goats will, some goats won't.
