If he's wobbling, he may have thiamine deficiency.Certainly giving hin some thiamine isn't going to harm him at all, and if it is thiamine deficiency, not giving it could result in death. It has to be injected very 6-8 hours, your vet can give you the thiamine and the dosage schedule. You may have to insist on it, just in case that's what it is. (We lost a beautiful doe to this years ago, and she started by being "off", and a couple of days later was wobbling. We didn't know any better then). In the meantime, don't give him anything sweet, it will just eat up the thiamine he does have. Are his eyes darting? or does he appear to have trouble seeing as well as he did? Please keep us posted!
