Do you remember the brand of oxytetracycline they used? If they used the brand known as "LA-200" this has a very painfull carrier and causes stinging for a few minutes (hence the crying most likely). If you have to use a drug like this in the future, try to request Biomycin (sp?) it uses a different carrier, so it dosn't sting as bad.

As for the soremouth, the other little one will prob get it - but once they get it, that's it. Almost like self vaccination (like people with chicken pox) -unless you bring another new goat in that has a different strain (and they get it over again). Keep some Neosporin on it to keep the sores moist and healing. I'd try to keep them contained till better, and then sanitize the pen. Gloves are a good idea too - its always somewhat embarasing to have to go to a doctor, ect and explain or try to explain that you got the problem, or what ever it may be... "from your goat!" :-)

Good Luck, I'm sure the little ones will do great once they clear up!
