Let me see if I can answer everyone's Q's :-)

Yes, she's a togg, 4 years old. No hair is missing, or looks like it is going to fall out. Let me think what else - I thought it could be a wattle cyst at first, but it seems to be too far up now (if that makes any sence). (I did look at the articles last night, great one Gary on CL and I love the new system of bits of posts combined with answers in the articles!!!)

I don't remember what size needle they used, but nothing even oozed out, or stunk, or anything!! It kind of feels like a hematoma but it can't be that becuase you would have drawn blood. She's eating her grain ok, and foarging.

Here's one more thought too - I have a chicken that likes to nest in her hay manger. I saw the hen peck at doe last night - any thoughts of this being a connection? Remembering that this all started over a month ago as a little bump (no wound, ect) I threw the bird outside, but everyone knows how hard it is to relocate a chicken once she's decided to nest in a spot. I did however move Dalila's hay on the floor in her pen so she could eat in peace.

Vicki meantioned to me in an e-mail, about the possiblity of encysted worms (if I remember right)- so we're going on a worming rampage and see if anything happens.

Thank you so much Gary for posting the picture. (wishing I could be 1/2 the computer guru you are!) and thank you to all who are joining in on "name that bump!"

You guys are great!
