Hi! Here is some information i got from a 4-H handout. It says... The simplest method of castration is banding. This should be done the same day you disbud your kid, eliminating a second stressful situation. We didn't have our goats banded and disbudded on the same day. I would think that would be too much stress on the little guys in one day. In my 4-H book it says that the kid should be castrated as soom as the testicles descend into the scrotum. This varies from seven days to three weeks. That's all I could find. Good Luck!
