Kimberly, I recently bought three yearling 1/2 boer nannys from a man who purposely bred them at a young age. He reasoned that if he kept them well fed, that the does would not stunt, and he could have those early births. The result? Out of 3 does, two had large singles that didn't survive, leaving one successful birth. I don't like those odds very much. If you are concerned with the maturity of the doe, and her well-being, I would give her the shot. I don't like to gamble with an animal's health. I know that baby goats are cute, and noone likes to cancel one out, but at what cost to your doe?
