This is why my bucks never live in a common fenced pen next to the does. I actually think it is down right mean to make him moon all over her with a fence between them, and the girls really are horrid to the bucks when they are in heat! Anyway :) Just mark the calander for 21 days and check her for signs of heat. If she is not a good 80+ pounds, well probably not that big if she is a pygmy :0 than you may want to get a 2cc shot of Lutelyse from the vet to abort this breeding. She will loose the pregnancy in 36 hours, and will come back into heat the next month. At 7 months it is a little young and small to breed a dairy goat, might want to wait till the first of the year, or next year.

If you keep the pregnancy, no heat in 21 days is the first sign, about 100 days you will notice udder maturation and some springing of the sides of the doe. 3 to 4 weeks before her due date you should see udder and colostrum in the udder, and in 150 days babies! Vicki
