We feed hay that is predominantly timothy to our goats-they also have their pasture and woods.
I did lose two wethers to urinary calculi before I new about these groups.If I had to do it all over again,I would sprinkle ammonium chloride on the few handfuls of grain that they get. One breeder recommended Blue Seal Lamb Finisher as the grain to give wethers. I have also heard people advise adding a capful of apple cider vinegar per five gallon bucket of water.
Also, corn and alfalfa might be too much calcium for wethers and increase the chances of urinary calculi. Useful sites on urinary calculi: (I can't get them to post-I'll email to you and maybe you can get them to post)
