Oh My!! I hate sour milk! I can't figure why it's going bad on you unless you (A) aren't bath canning it long enough (I cook mine at a slow boil for an hour) or (B) storing it in an area that is too warm. Last year I put all of mine in boxes and stored those in a back bedroom where it was very cool. This year I have all the jars on a shelf in the dining room (isn't that where everyone keeps the goat stuff?) and I've been watching it to see if it keeps there.

Then again, since all of the milk was from the same time period, maybe something was wrong with the milk itself. Did you worm, give any meds, etc? Something they ate? Were all the lids you used the same brand as the ones that have kept the milk good? I have better luck with Kerr than with Ball while many people argue it's the other way around. Maybe you got a bad batch of lids. They might be sealing but not good enough. I've lost entire runs of green beans to that culprit.

Get back to me if none of these suggestions apply. I'll call my mom and see if she has had any experiences with canned stuff going bad. Hmmm...I have another idea, but I will email you privately with that one!
