I keep forgetting to ask- whats a Munchie? Is this a pet name for a LaMancha?

PS... Our LaMancha doe drew alot of attention at the fair. (Heck eveyone with children visited the goat barn- there was a ~line up~ to pet our little kids) anyway... From dirty looks to snide remarks, to curiosity we ...saw/heard it all. After a multitude of "Why did you cut off her (the lamancha's) ears?" We came up with a good comeback. My husband now says: "Oh we didn't...she just shedding them right now." LOL!! Of course we set folks straight before they walk away... :oD
