Hi,
Wow.... heres a HUG, sounds like you did have a day of it. i had my turn last week Friday. And, yes, i did sip a drink, head hurt so bad from work. LOL:):).
To answer you about your doe. Did you change feeds lately? have you taken her temp, normal temp is 102 give or take a few. Its possible that the new does could ahve brought a bug in, but hard to say without knowing about the herd they came from. How did the new goats ook from the herd you got her from? It might be What did you worm her with?
heres what i would suggest:
Give her Pepto for the runs, i usually give double the human dose. You could try giving her a shot of Vit B to help stimulate her appetite. Heres what i do when i bring new goats in, i worm them, trim hooves and then put them in a seperate pen. I also give some immuno-G as well to boost immunity. We give all our kids this after theya re born and for 3 days after. its like ID-1 or hoggers goat Stress formula. I Have not had a dam raised kid get the runs yet or calf for that matter after using it. and the goats seem hea;lthier too compared to some that I got that thebreeders don't give it.
hope this helps. oh, try giving her some goat Aid or mollasses water. Good luck, hope this helps.
Bernice
