There is a huge difference in the sides of the goats after the does have consumed forage or hay, and yes that is the rumen. There is also the problem of displaced obomassum, where one of the stomachs actually sags through the body cavity, there is a cool picture of this in Goat Medicine, but you can also see it on lots of folks Boer goat sites. She would have to be in the last 6 to 8 weeks of pregnancy for you to notice this, and lots of my does carry their kids below them, rather than high and wide like this. My does who have quads are both wide and low! Vicki
