I am so sorry you lost her! We all learn by our mistakes with our stock. I lost one of my very first really nice purebred Nubian does I raised, by throwing a bale of alfalfa into a hayfeeder, and not taking off the wire ties. The hay was eaten down enough to make it loose, she got her head stuck in the wire, found her hung in the morning. Everyone but me seemed to have known that you don't leave hay ties on bales of hay, except ME! Believe me I learned that lesson the hard way! I was lucky in that I belonged to a great goat club when I first started, learned all the water trough saftey and electrical cords! We all have felt like throwing in the towel before! Vicki
