Okie Dokie, Nat STRIKES again...
Geeze, you think I'd stop messing up on the farm. For those of you who missed earlier posts, I first had a doe with a lacerated udder (very slight cut.. now its a nice scab).... With the national ADGA show only what, 3 weeks away I panicked... but all is fine and I think it will be all nice new skin by then.
Anyway.... I was doing my annual CD&T Booster shot on all the kids, and older animals.... Didn't really think twice.... and yep... Sub-Q behind the shoulder.... GUESS WHAT??!! I have a nice Garnuloma (sp?) now at the injection site.. Last year I didn't get this reaction, but this time around I did. (Why didn't I do the bar vac IM.. sigh..)
This is my new question of the week: How can I help the swelling go down? My doe has a nice quarter sized lump, and my kids have a dime/nickle sized one... (however, one doeling has a yuckie scab on her bump) I was clean about the shots, new needles, alcohol, ect... I remember reading the ADGA entry rules and any lumps I guess are invitation to rejection at health check in due to fear of CL. (and isn't ironic that all my entries have the bumps at the same location... augh....)
Any advice, am I getting excited over nothing, like usual??!!
Thanks guys!

Counting down to my first national show... and shaking!!!
