Thanks to all who responded . At this point we decided to take our little doe to the vet, a new one as we have no real experienced vets in our area with "goat knowledge" On friday at his office, she had dropped to 21.6 lbs. started to develop a slight cough and had developed a temp of 104.4..........He exam showed her lungs to be ok, he drew blood , we won't have the blood work results till monday.........Gave her albon and we are continuing to do so,plus vitamines and extra selinum, also an injection of1/2cc of nexcel( I might have that name or spelling wrong as I don't hav that med. in front of me at this time). We will continue with the albon and injections also. Her temp was down to 102 this am and back up to 104 this pm. We have her isolated from the rest of the herd and hope for good news from the vet on monday. At this point I just don't know.

We have never had health problems with our beef cows and this new adventure with the goats is so much fun, except there is so much more to learn .Will let you know what happens. Thanks again to all. Sid
