Nubians or Pygmy's for beginners

We are looking at getting a couple (maybe 4 goats) as pets. We don't want them for meat, or necessarily for milk. We want them to eat brush and to be pets.

We have about ¾ acre fenced for them, but they would be sharing the area with our dogs - very friendly dogs, but also love to play. Is this a problem?

I have been told nubians are nosier than pygmies. The guy down the road who we would get the nubians from says that if we get 4, they will be much quieter than 1 or 2 goats would be as they are in a group and thus 'talk' less.

Which type of goat would be better suited to a beginner? Easier to care for? We are totally new at this, and not even sure if we know what we are getting into. We have been told they will eat the brush all summer, we feed them hay in the winter, and deworm them once a year.

Any words of wisdom to help a beginner would be great.

Thanks...
