Is this swelling hard or soft? Did you rule out the possibility of an insect bite, or tick bite? At 4 months I think you can rule out a navel infection. If you gently poke at it, can you feel an opening of the muscle in the belly?
At work, we had a problem with a young boar that had a navel hernia. You could see the pocket, and if you inspected it - you could feel a small opening in the abdominal wall. Well, 2 surgeries later... they fixed it. Too bad in swine this is one of the most highly heritable traits. Just thought i'd share my experiences with navel hernias (even if it were with pigs). Figure it should be about the same with all species. (not sure on the heritability part though)
Good Luck! When in doubt, call a vet.
