I have to agree with you on all of this, Vicki. I have tattooed the doe but not registered her. I think the safest way to pursue this is to use her for milk only and sell or eat her kids as they are born. I have been sketching out the breeding plan for the next two years in order to try and narrow down the culprit in the third teat dilemma. I have also contacted the breeder of each to see if this popped up on and siblings? I have to think about the future not just for us but for all who might end up with my stock and breed them. The day will come when I care about what is associated with my herd name(I think it is here already) But in defense of the buck...none of the other kids this year had third teats. Still I will check this out until I have found an answer.. Is it possible I could never see this again? Any further thought I would love to hear them. Thanks again,
Shirley
