I'm listening...
Our four mo. old Saanen doe has rather long-shaggy hair. I thought they were supposed to be real smooth/ short coated.
She's an "American" so I've just figured it was genetics that created that shaggy coat. It's never been shaved/trimmed yet. I estimate it's a good two and a half/going on three inches at the longer spots...like across the top of her spine. She looks like a drowned rat when wet.
Now my LaMancha has a very flat smooth coat. The ToggX's have smooth bodied hair except on the spine it's wavy like a Togg.
I do go on and on like a proud mommy...ugh.... I think I bore my husband with my "kodak moments" talk, I can tell because he begins to start wriggling after about the two hour mark (just kidding!!!) Maybe he's just a wee bit jealous of all the attention ?? teehee
