Everything seems to be healing up well (knocking on wood). The wound seemed to close up well on its own, so I didn't have to superglue it. Her udder is a bit sore as I thought it would be, but she tolerates a gentle, slow milking. Her production dropped a bit, I'm sure some of the tissue in that half is a bit swollen and that's the reason for the drop.? If it seems really bad I guess I can call the vet and see if I should give her any banimine. (got plenty of that on stock!) I know we have used that on swelling problems before.

Her appetite and attitue are still good and she's going to be housebound till the wound closes up completely. I don't want her running around in the mud with that. I had a few shavings stuck in the crevice that's left, but cleaned it out gently. Looks like just a real good papercut, and hopefully that's all its going to be. Once healed, I think you'd have to be laying on the ground and have her walk over you to notice where the wound is. (hopefully no bad scars for nationals.. I'm not sure if they take off for any past injurys, but a healthy, functional udder is I'll I'm really concerned about right now.)
