I was also where your at last year... We just wanted some "weed eaters".. We got 3 Nubian bottle fed babies..... I never found them to be loud or offensive at all...
My suggestion would be to look at lots of pictures and learn about different breeds and then choose something you like. Also - I would be very cautious about putting them right in with your dogs... Just my opinion but I would let them get to know the dogs through the fence before putting them together. Especially if your dogs want to "play" or chase.. The goats may think the play is for real.. Unless you get goats who are already used to dogs.
We got so interested in goats we decided we wanted to raise a breed..... after looking all over the net at pictures and learning a lot about different breeds we settled on the Nigerian Dwarf... Lots of colors too..... Both my husband and myself have fell in love with these little darlings..
