guideline for pricing goats to sell
We now have our farm up to speed to where I can start selling off percentage does. I have paid anywhere from 300.00-400.00 for percentage does. I have already sold percentage bucks for anywhere from 85.00-125.00. These were 50%'s. I have a friend who has purchased several does with babies on them for unheard of prices. This fellow in Ohio sold my friend a 100% doe with 2 babies 100% for 150.00. He also sold my same friend a 3/4 doe with 2 babies 7/8 for 125.00. All have papers from IBGA. He is not getting out of the business so that is not the reason for the low prices. Am I paying to much for my does? This fellow gets his goats from Texas, well 4 of my does came from Texas. The color is correct on the fellow from Ohio. Any commments. How can he sell 100%'s for that low price? Should my friend be leary of the authenticity? Thanks
