First of all! I don't know how anyone can milk without a milk stand. My hubby built me one & I love it!I have a doe that lays down as soon as you touch her. She will not let you milk her! I have worked with her for a long time. It got to the point that as soon as you called her or even touched her coller she layed down. There is no way to milk her! & it's not worth it to fight with her. So she does not get milked here! She has just become a brood doe. hopefully one day she will let me milk her, I still try once in a while to put her on the stand. But like I said as soon as she thinks she's going to the stand, she's down on the ground! Hoof trimming is really fun with her! She is ticklish, so I can't lift her leg up. I have to trim her hoof when she is standing & hope I do a good enough job. Even My hubby can't hold that leg for me!Well, got to love all your goats! I know I do!
