How long is it safe to milk?
We have been milking our doe for five years(we rescued herwhen she was a first-and only time-freshener) and she gives less than 2 quarts daily in the winter, and almost 2and1/2 quarts in the spring and summer. Some people have told us that it is bad for the goat-to "give her a break".Others say "she can go on forever, don't worry".
Any thoughts? Any advice?
Thanks in advance,
Diana
