Thank you for posting the article information Gretchen - so many web pages and formulas I forget what they are called exactly anymore. Handily my wife Pam is the goat medicine chef when disaster strikes so I just call out "mix up some Magic" and she does.
As promised, here is an update on Prince. He is doing quite a bit better and while he still looks and acts little lethargic, he is getting up and eating and drinking more than he was. I have kept giving him the 1.5 cc's of Tylan 200 every 24 hours and 15 cc's of the Nutri Drench plus 3 cc's of ID Liquid.
He is acting the same way one of our kids did not too long ago and we were lucky enough to catch it in time. I am expecting he is going to be up and bouncing around like normal in just a few more days.
Just about every goat that I have found laying on it's side paddling it's legs has been a goner despite immediate treatment. That darn pneumonia sure devastates them quickly and I can't stress enough the importance of checking your goats at least three times a day whenever possible.
Best regards,
Gary Pfalzbot
