Hi, We have sheep, and 1 nubian wether(10 months old). He had been limping then lame much of the winter. We tried everything we could think of, even our sheep vet was perplexed. We finally found a vet who specializes in goats-blood work was done (lots!$)and we discovered he is selenium and calcium deficient. He is on Bose every two weeks X's 4, and only alphalfa hay (no grain). He is most definately looking better, but a long way from 100%. My question is, how long if ever, will it be till he is back to normal? Any ideas why only the goat has this problem? We feed minerals free choice, and the feed is fortified with both selemium and calcium, we've had the sheep tested and everyone is within normal ranges. I know our vet could answer these questions but if the news isn't good I'd rather find out in a not so personal way at first. Thanks, Ann
