This afternoon my friend called very stressed. She said her 3 week old kid was fine this morning jumping and playing, took her bottle fine. This afternoon she came home and she was laying on her side. When she picked her up she was limp. She brought her in the house and the kid had shallow breathing, black tarry harder poop stuck. She gently removed it and more followed shortly. Within 15 minutes the kid died. What could have caused this? The kid was in a pen by herself. She has other goats also and none were effected. Could this have been an insect bite? Snake bite? Posion? Thank you for your time and info in this. Comet
