Eve,
Just had another thought, where are you located? Some areas of the country have high levels of selenium in the soil. Check with your county agent to see how much selenium you have.
Chronic selenium poisoning will cause sore feet. Earliest signs are visible cracks in the horns and hooves, irregular new growth at the coronary bands. Hooves become deformed and elongated. Infection often occurs in the deep cracks of the hoof wall. The foot emits a necrotic odor and becomes extremely painful as pus accumulates.
( Goat Medicine )
It doesn't say how long it would take for these signs to show up. And you would have noticed something when you trimmed her feet. Don't think that this is your problem, but its worth a thought. It would seem that all 4 feet would be affected and it doesn't sound like Starlite is having a problem with her back feet. Again maybe someone on the list will know something.
It still sounds like laminitis to me.
