A very well known Judge in ADGA does something similar to mowing. He mows a large strip each day once the dew is off the grass, the girls then are fed this as much as they will eat. The feeder is cleaned out daily, if it is wet and is old it will start to ferment and mold.

How about just making yourself a temporary fence with electic fence. Jeffers 1800-Jeffers livestock catalog sells the step'in poles, the charger and the wire. The cost would be minimal compared to fencing the whole area. Premier I think it is premierproducts1.com or something like that premierfence1.com check a search, they have rolls of electric netting that you could do yourself, moving the area every few weeks or so. I used to walk my girls in the woods each day before we were fenced, I kept my herd boss on a lounge line since the other girls wouldn't go anywhere without her! Good luck with this. We all know how the "fight" over goat stuff goes :) Vicki
