When i first got into the internet 3 yrs ago i was very naive and really out of touch. i swore I had no interest in the internet or comouters after i finished college and sold my ole puter or computer. i used to be a member of a school baord back in NYS and we had a superintendent who was very savvy with computers, on the cutting edge so he had all the school board members use the old bulletain boards to communicate on. We could post messages as this forum is set up and also do a primative chat too but only one person at a time, not a group. And, don't ever agree to be on the school baord because nobody in the town is interested in running, i was recruited at my son's babe ruth baseball game and was unopposed. I valued and cherished my time on the school baord but it was a thankless job.
I ended up moving to VA and had to take a few more classesa t the local college for my teaching license so the college just launched the first internet classes. i had to go to summer school for a week and do the rest on the internet. Well the week we spent at the college we had to do research on the internet in the library. i got bored and looked up goats and got addicted, its gotten worse from there:):)
Anyways, back to LOL, I first thought LOl meant Lord or Lordy or something like that. i then learned after i aske dit mant lots of laughs. ROLF means rolling on the floor laughing, and btw is by the way. i can't think of any others off the top of my head. But those are some definations.
