Since I have never experienced the problem that you are having, I will give you what the "book" says. It is possible that your kids are being infected with Clostridium perfringens type B and C. The best method for giving your newborn kids some immunity is by vaccinating the mother with the CD&T 2 to 4 weeks from kidding. This hopefully will pass on the vaccine to the kids while they are still in the womb. The "book" also says that kids from unvaccinated does should not receive the vaccine until they are 2 to 4 weeks of age. If the doe is vaccinated, then the kids need to be 10 to 12 weeks old before they receive the vaccine. I suppose that it is possible that the vaccine itself my be causing the problem because you are giving it to them at birth. I'm sure there could be other factors that may be causing your problem. You might want to sit down and see if you can list anything that has changed from the time you didn't have this problem up to the time that the problem started. Such as, have you changed where your kids are being born, have you changed the feed that your does are eating. Have you always gave CD&T at birth. Things like that. This exercise may help you to track down the problem.
