I extracted this from another board. I don't have a current Hoegger's Supply Catalog for the details, but has anyone heard of this procedure, or tried it?

It sounds like the above procedure would be more successful than the disbudding iron, and if the hornbud were removed, there'd be less likelinood of scurs developing. Any thoughts?
